About the Session

Education and youth welfare play a transformative role in building peaceful, inclusive, and sustainable societies. Young people represent the driving force of social change, innovation, and economic development. However, achieving sustainable peace requires educational systems that nurture critical thinking, ethical values, social responsibility, and global citizenship among youth. This thematic session explores how education systems, youth engagement initiatives, and community-based learning models can contribute to sustainable peace and societal growth. The discussion will focus on innovative pedagogies, youth leadership development, mental well-being, civic participation, and policy frameworks that empower youth as agents of positive change. The session also highlights the importance of integrating peace education, sustainability education, and social innovation into formal and informal learning environments to promote harmony, resilience, and inclusive development.
